Hi Cam,

Understand your frustration at the feeling of "being treated like a child" and I can assure you that this is never our intention.

In posting about "bending the truth a little" it was not my intention to use this as any form of castigation, but to let people know that tightening the Band beyond the green zone (if you don't know what the green zone is ask Di or Cheryl for a sticker next visit) not only causes distress but actually causes weight gain.

We have a duty of care to ensure that overtightening of the Band occurs as infrequently as possible and we have no option but to consider the possibility that individuals may have the mistaken belief that further tightening of the Band will increase the weight loss when it is already at maximum appropriate adjustment.

We agree David Scott is excellent - that's why we have involved him!

Regards,

My issue is that I am hungry but I think that the Drs think i am lying. I get that some people ask for more and more fill to get results and this can backfire (I went to band camp with a lady who has done this and can't work out why she is putting on weight) but for those of us who can still eat a large amount and get little to no restriction it sucks to get and see those looks of "yeah right" It also sucks when the ditection (sp?) tells you that with the amounts that you are eating she thinks you need at least 2 - 4 more mls and then your Dr puts in .5 of a ml! It also sucks when you say well i can chow down on a big mac and fries and you get the lecture about how you should not be eating this, yes I know i should not be but that's not the point, the point is I should not be able to eat half a family size pizza!
